It seems 72 Lowlight engine hatch is different than 1970.

Can anyone check their 68-70 hatch and let me measurements or what model was change made.

That could be quite likely because '72 is the first year without the removable rear valance.

Will check the '69 for you later on today Brookie.

Sorry it's taken me a while to get back to you on this.

The '69 with removable valance was close to 2 inches longer than the '72 with the fixed valance.

So you will probably need to find a '68 through to August '71 tailgate (oval tail lights) as the valance became fixed in August '71 (rectangular tail lights).
