Hi Guys, we went for a drive to Robe last Sunday, 130ks there and the same ks back. When we got there i heard a grinding noise from the front left hand side. It ground all the way home and i still sat on 100ks. Im thinking possible wheel bearing. Any thought and if it is wheel bearing, does any one know the part number. I havent pulled wheel of yet, just thought i would seek info first. thanks.

regards brian

Not home at moment but it would be marked and you could possibly get them at your local Repco.
If you jack wheel up you should be able to feel play if it is bearing.

Are brakes Ok- could be a worn pad.

It sounds, to me, (if it isn't the bearing) like it could be a brake-pad rubbing on the wheel - caliper perhaps?

Good luck! Smile

Bearings fine, brakes fine. Im thinking i may have got a stone jump in the back some where. i couldnt find it though. I did have the grind noise again when put all back together. But after a short while it seemed to stop or maybe i had the music up loud.  Laughing will check again another day.

But i did find another problem, left hand rocker is leaking like mad. so i have to contact adelaide and get a set and attempt to fix it my self.  Rolling Eyes

I guess you mean the rocker cover and not push rod tubes- replacing gasket is fairly easy.

Gaskets just arrived so i will attempt to do the tapets for my first attempt. I have read somewhere that they should be .06 or .08, so if somene can tell me which would be nice. To hot to attempt today, we have 42 today and tomorrow, so will wait till it cools down.  Laughing
