Some conversions are doing 160kph and range of over 100ks and some are using batteries you can charge from your mains-(if they are working )

I suppose they would no longer need that heavy engine at the back, so might actually end up lighter and hence faster - it would probably be okay for a daily work driver, for example... but in rural Australia, with the long distances, there would need to be regular stations with some sort of battery-replacement or quick charge.... _________________ ....Woz
