Midwest WA
Murchison River Bridge
Great site on North West Coastal H'way at Murchison River Crossing next to old bridge-just after Kalbarri turnoff coming from South. Fits van, big motorhomes etc and is safe.

Ellendale Pool -south of Geraldton- near Walkaway- toilets-free barbecue- you can stay a couple of days- toilets but no showers-beautiful pool on Greenough River.

The Coalseam- between Ellendale Pool and Mingenew. Outstanding country with the most fantasic wildflowers during the season. Similar to Ellendale-free camping -barbecues, toilets but no showers. Great views and total relaxation.

Practically in centre of town- only small park and not too much shade but immaculate. Run by Shire and caretaker calls after 5pm to collect fees.

It also has honour system for laundry and showers- you leave $2 in tray for use if you are just passing through and need a shower or do laundry.
Wagin is also nice wheatbelt town with lots of character and history.

Canal Rocks is famous for its big waves breaking over the rocks.
The CP is just over sandhills and is an excellent park. All facilities including restaurant and games room. Ideal with kids.
Only minutes from wineries, restaurants, surfing and fishing beaches.

Rangie this time as we were going to D'entracasteaux National Park and Yeagarup Dunes-strictly 4WD but have been close with Kombi

This may close next year (2007) to be replaced by huge resort development.

This is ranked as the best park in WA.
4 ks from Cowaramup on Bussell H'way-close to Margaret River and all the vineyards and surfbeaches.
Clean-great facilities and huge bough shed-with barbecues, tables, open fireplace, and a great place to meet fellow campers

Will try to find some pics

This great park is right on the waterfront- close enough to walk to town for exercise. Also close to the Jetty which is very long and has water and cleaning tables for fishermen and women. Shop on site for basics.

Can take big rigs to tent campers and very popular.

Winjana Gorge

The campsite is divided into two areas. One allows generators and fires the other doesn't. All facilities. Ranger collects fees. Plenty of interesting walks to be had. It is located on the road running from Fitzroy Crossing past Tunnel Creek to the Gibb River Road.
