Must be something about Split Panels ATM - Our Panel arrived Last week from SA! Been keeping an eye out for something ever since we saw the local splitty gang drive past us on a run, near the brewery in December 2006! Thanks KK, at least I can blame you guys for my enthusiasm!
Be some time before she is out and about, as needs a bit of work underneath, so we may as well do the whole shooting match while we are at it.
Congrates on the new edition to the stable. Looks cool hope to see you out and about soon

Good work! She looks great on your driveway.....WA is the home of the Split! What are your goals? Ready for DOVW in December or what!!!
Take your time and enjoy, nice one - Welcome to the gang....(The penny less gang)
Come along to Alfreds for a chat (have I met you both there before?)
Thanks for the pics...must update the Bible now _________________

Yeah we have chatted to you at Alfreds when we were admiring your bus one time! We have been along to Alfreds quite a few times, I got some cool shots of the last meet, where there seemed to be heaps of busses - Must post them...
Plans - still thinking - going to try and stay mostly stock we think, but think that lowering in some form has to be in there also, with a braking upgrade.... Will stick with the stock donk, after all, for us its about the journey, not the destination - we love the golden fleece panel in Rawdy's 08 calander - may give her a rub back and see what og paint is under the current paint job (its green inside and we kind of like that)! Oh and the retro fit windows in the side are going.......
Bus will be a while in the making - as part of purchasing conditions were that the house renovations must be complete before work on the bus starts......... never been so motivated about house renovating in my life! _________________ K-No (Splitty Fan)

I thought I recognised you in the pic (perhaps without the goatie). Should you need any advice in where to buy bits or get things fixed etc I and many others will be only be happy to assist you with your project. You have already made the best decision "Oh and the retro fit windows in the side are going......." Good move. Not enough quality "panels" around There has been much debate about windows being cut into panel vans - I can see that to owner at the time, it was a good idea and practical. Times have now changed due to the valve and appreciation people have for commercials vehicles. I guess a new generation of owners prepared to restore and keep them on the road often reverses the "improvements".
I have made many improvements to my bus but the single port dong that came with the buses back then is just fine and so reliable if looked after. Don't get me wrong I would love to race Commodores off the line but it is the journey and there is no need to get there fast.
Cheers, hope to see you at Alfreds if your not renovating _________________

K-No,
Just around the corner, I am working on a couple things at the moment.
Have a Bay which needs lots of work, have a new work shed half built and am waiting for the sides etc to go on so I can have a closed in area.
Once that is done engine out, windows out, welding and painting to do.
I have a new Rotisserie which I want to get working with and compressor and Spray guns.. borrowing the welder at the moment.
Outside of the Panel can survive for a little while but the interior needs heaps of work, has Glue and no more nails stuck all over it. Have tried paint stripper on it but didn't do much good, looks like the grinder with the maxi disk will be next... That gets rid of everything. Have Had a play with the POR15 paint and it comes up pretty slick and may use this on the inside before I get some boards and sound proofing done on the inside.
If you need anything, give me a yell If I'm not using it you can always borrow.
Bear (Glyn)
